Bereavement Care Awareness - Online Training
Created by Care for the Family, Bereavement Care Awareness is training that aims to provide help and support for those are seeing people through a difficult time of bereavement.
You’ll come away with:
• A better knowledge of how bereavement affects people in different ways.
• An understanding of the grieving process.
• Ideas for the practical and emotional support you can offer someone in the weeks and months after the funeral.
• Practical skills to carry out supportive listening, a key tool in bereavement support.
• Advice and tips on ways your church can support bereaved people in your community.
Through experience, Care for the Family have found that churches are welcoming this training as it provides a range of ideas for offering practical and emotional support. Each person will gain more confidence to walk towards someone who is hurting through bereavement rather than leaving it to someone else. As a result, bereaved people will feel better supported.
