DESCRIPTION:This course will take place at Bouverie Court\, 6 The Lakes\, Northampton\, NN4 7YD. \n\n\n\nThis bespoke leadership training is for anyone with PTO in the diocese. It is delivered over three hours\, face to face. Participants will reflect deeply on their own values and beliefs and combine these with the values and beliefs that are at the heart of good safeguarding behaviour. The idea is that good safeguarding behaviour can then flow from an inner motivation\, rather than it being experienced as an external process that must be followed. DESCRIPTION:A Sung Eucharist and Ordination led by the Archbishop of Canterbury will be held in Westminster Abbey to which all are welcome to attend. \n\n\n\nThe nomination of the Venerable Dr Alexander James Hughes\, Archdeacon of Cambridge\, in the Diocese of Ely\, to become the Suffragan Bishop of Brixworth\, was approved by HM The King\, in succession to the Right Reverend John Holbrook MA\, following his retirement. \n\n\n\nAlex was educated at Greyfriars Hall\, Oxford and St. Edmund’s College\, Cambridge and trained for ministry at Westcott House\, Cambridge. He served his title at Holy Trinity\, Headington Quarry\, in the Diocese of Oxford\, and was ordained priest in 2001. He was appointed Chaplain to the Bishop of Portsmouth in 2003. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register for the Eucharist via the Eventbrite link above. Please then bring the Eventbrite ticket (s) generated following registration or bring an image of the ticket (s) on your phone for admission. \n\n\n\nYou can also register for other guests who might wish to attend with you. Entry will be from 9.45 am at the Abbey’s main Great West Doors and all those attending\, are requested to be seated by 10.45 am. \n\n\n\nSeating in the Transepts will be largely unallocated and allow for free general seating with a good view of proceedings\, offered on a first-come first-served basis. Seating will be reserved in the Lanterns for Bishops\, their spouses/partners and for robed clergy nominated by the Bishop-elect. \n\n\n\nIf you have special needs\, there is easy sloped access at the Great West Door and disabled facilities in the cloisters. DESCRIPTION:Created by Care for the Family\, Bereavement Care Awareness is training that aims to provide help and support for those are seeing people through a difficult time of bereavement. \n\n\n\nYou’ll come away with: \n•    A better knowledge of how bereavement affects people in different ways. \n•    An understanding of the grieving process. \n•    Ideas for the practical and emotional support you can offer someone in the weeks and months after the funeral. \n•    Practical skills to carry out supportive listening\, a key tool in bereavement support. \n•    Advice and tips on ways your church can support bereaved people in your community.  \n\n\n\nThrough experience\, Care for the Family have found that churches are welcoming this training as it provides a range of ideas for offering practical and emotional support. Each person will gain more confidence to walk towards someone who is hurting through bereavement rather than leaving it to someone else. DESCRIPTION:Rushden Life is an ecumenical\, town-wide programme of events organised by local churches\, for the people of Rushden and open to visitors! Over two weeks (from Saturday 27th June to Saturday 11th July) various churches across the town will be hosting a wide range of events\, finishing with our presence at Rushden’s Party in the Park on Saturday 11th July in Hall Park. \n\n\n\nAll events are free or provided at minimal cost\, made possible by churches working together to bring some extra life\, fun\, and connection to Rushden this summer. We have some fantastic events for all ages lined up including a magician\, a comedian\, talented musicians\, strong men\, and other entertainers\, in addition to plenty of opportunities to enjoy food\, conversation\, and time together as a community. \n\n\n\nThe churches involved are united by a shared desire to be a blessing to our town. We are motivated by the love of God shown to us in Jesus\, and we believe that the good news of Jesus is as relevant today as ever. As such\, our events will include opportunities to hear how faith in Jesus continues to make a real and positive difference in people’s lives. All are welcome\, whether or not you have faith\, are sceptical\, curious\, or have never really given it much thought before.

DESCRIPTION:Run by the University of Northampton’s Extreme Right Research Network\, this course returns for 2026 and will introduce the key concepts and history of the extreme right\, it will discuss their language and narratives\, methods and routes of radicalisation\, and also their use of the online and other spaces to create communities. \n\n\n\nThis training will include a new focus on Christian Nationalism. Whether you are new to the area or want to refresh your knowledge\, these sessions have proven useful for educators\, police teams\, local government\, charities and religious organisations who engage with those vulnerable to radicalisation or Prevent duties.
