SUMMARY:Anna Chaplaincy Online Course 2027
DESCRIPTION:Is God calling you to offer spiritual care to older people? \nAnna Chaplaincy is a ministry of being present with people\, valuing their lives and listening to them on their spiritual journey\, whether they have a faith or not.\nThis six-week online course for the Peterborough Diocese explores what Anna Chaplaincy offers older people\, how it contributes to the mission of the church\, and the different forms the ministry can take. You do not need to be committed to becoming an Anna Chaplain to take part. The skills may also help you in your current ministry. \nThe course takes place over six sessions taking place on Thursdays\, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. All sessions will take place on Zoom. \n\n7 January 2027 — Introducing Anna Chaplaincy\n14 January — Living the second half of life\n21 January — The spirituality of ageing\n28 January — Spiritual care for people living with dementia\n4 February — Chaplaincy skills in working with older people\n11 February — Looking forward: the next steps\n\nEach week includes preparatory reading and study\, followed by a written reflection. Participants receive an Anna Chaplaincy Handbook.
