Responding Creatively to Scripture

This event is open to clergy and laity and will take place at St Mary’s, Main Street, Northampton NN7 4JB.

How can we enable adults to engage creatively with scripture? How can this grow discipleship both inside the church and be used for mission in reaching out to those who don’t already worship with us?

This day will explore how arts and crafts sessions can be set up in your church. In the morning, we will focus on the practicalities of costs and advertising. We will look at how a creative response to scripture can help people on their faith journey and we will hold a group exercise on how to develop a programme.

The rest of the day will be spent in engaging in a session, with ‘Creation’ as our theme. Art materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Tea and coffee will be available but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

You do not need to be artistic. It is not just about what you produce on the day, it’s about engaging with scripture in a creative way.
