Churchwardens' Training Day - FULLY BOOKED

The Archdeacons are hosting a day to come together, explore the role, offer up to date guidance, and provide opportunities for discussion and mutual support, as well as the answers to specific questions. The day is open to Churchwardens and will take place at Bouverie Court. The training day can give a very good picture of what to expect when in office.

Programme:

09:00 – 10:00: Arrival and coffee

10:00 – 11:00: Administration and Governance – including the establishment of Joint Councils, working as a benefice, the shortage of church officers, leading PCCs and APCMs

11:00 – 12:00: Buildings and Maintenance – including List A, List B and Faculties; QIRs

12:00 – 12:30: Lunch

12:30 – 13:30: Churchyards and trees

13:30 – 14:00: Leading worship for those who don’t usually lead worship

14:00 – 14:15: Plenary

14:15 – 14:30: Closing worship
