The diocese is episcopally led and synodically governed. The Bishop sets the vision for the diocese. Diocesan Synod agrees any activity undertaken to fulfill this vision. The Bishops' Council is the standing committee of Diocesan Synod,and, amongst other things, sets the agenda for Diocesan Synod. The Bishop also meets regularly with his senior staff as the Bishop's Managment Group where all practical matters, diocesan and pastoral, are discussed. The financial affairs are conducted through the Peterborough Diocesan Board of Finance, a body responsible for the financing of any recommendations proposed by the Bishop's Management Group and agreed by Diocesan Synod for the furtherance of the Bishops vision for growth. Some functions of the Diocesan Board of Finance are delegated to other committees.
