Canon Dr Peter White has recently left his role as Director of Children and Youth in Peterborough Diocese to take up a new position as Tutor in Ministry and Mission with Children, Young People and Families at Ripon College, Cuddesdon starting in January 2025. The role will see Peter take lead responsibility for the Incumbent Development Programme and the new Children, Youth and Families’ (CYF) Pathway, due to launch in September.
Charlotte Nobbs, Children's Mission Enabler within Peterborough Diocese said,
"Pete will be best known for his consistent passion and drive to see children and young people at the heart of all that we are in church. He will be missed deeply by many – both in parishes and at the Diocesan offices. He has impacted so many lives with his kind, gentle, thoughtful and reflective stance and his ability to draw out in others what is positive, as well as cheering them on when they did not think they could do something. Some of those young people are now adults and would point at Pete as being one of the main reasons that they are serving and expressing their faith in the way that they are; because of his investment, because of training he led or an internship he had facilitated."
Pete will continue to live and worship in the Diocese and we would like to wish him well and pray blessings upon him as he takes up his new role.
