We welcome people to new roles in the Diocese.

The Revd Tracy Pegram, Curate of Abington, has been appointed Priest in Charge of Wootton.  She will be instituted by Bishop Debbie, Bishop of Peterborough, on 13 October 2025.

The Revd Kim McCloghry Curate in the Spencer Benefice, has been appointed Assistant Priest of Daventry.  She will be licensed by Archdeacon Richard on 2 November. 

The following priests have been appointed as Honorary Canon of Peterborough Cathedral.

  • The Revd Canon Oliver Coss
  • The Revd Canon Neil Tyrer


The Revd Canon Dr Sonia Hicks has been appointed Ecumenical Canon of Peterborough Cathedral.


Dr Natalie Watson has been appointed Lay Canon of Peterborough Cathedral.


All new Canons will be installed by Bishop Debbie  on 6 November 2025. These appointments are in addition to their current roles and responsibilities.

The Revd Dean Ackrill, Team Rector of Sprowston w Beeston St Andrew in the Diocese of Norwich has been appointed Vicar of Ketton and Tinwell. He will be instituted to this role by Bishop Debbie on 9 December 2025.

The Revd Peter Collins, Rector of Hykenham Benefice in the Diocese of Lincoln has been appointed Rector of Empingham, Edith Weston, Lyndon, Manton, North Luffenham, Pilton, Preston, Ridlington, Whitwell & Wing (The Rutland Water Benefice). He will be instituted to this role by Bishop Debbie on 10 December 2025.

The Revd Tim Smith, Associate Vicar of St Barnabas Cambridge, has been appointed Vicar of Whitefriars Rushden.  He will be instituted by Bishop Debbie on 19 January 2026.

We wish farewell to those leaving for pastures new.

The Revd Anthony McGowan, Vicar of Holy Trinity and St Paul’s Northampton is to retire from this role on 31 October 2025.
