The Archdeacons are inviting Churchwardens to join them for a training day at St Mark’s, Kingsthorpe, Northampton on 19 September 2026. The agenda is as follows:
09:30 – 10:00: Arrival and coffee
10:00 – 10:45: The Role of a Churchwarden (Archdeacons)
10:45 – 10:55: Comfort break
10:55 – 11:40: Buildings and Maintenance (Emily Elliott, DAC)
11:40 – 12:15: Churchyards and Trees (Emily Elliott, DAC)
12:15 – 12:45: Lunch (this will be provided)
12:45 – 13:30: Administration and Governance (Archdeacons)
13:30: Closing prayer
13:45 – 14:15: Archdeacons available for any specific questions.
If you wish to attend, please complete the form below by 11 September and the Archdeacons’ Office will then be in touch with you to confirm your place after this date. There will be 65 spaces for this training day.
Kingsthorpe Church has a small car park with two disabled spaces at the front of the church. There is on road parking around the Crescent and nearby which is a residential area.
