The Diocesan Safeguarding team are committed to responding to safeguarding concerns, providing advice if you are not sure what to do, and supporting victims / survivors in an efficient and effective way. You may also wish to speak with your local church’s Parish / Benefice Safeguarding Officer as a first point of contact for reporting safeguarding concerns.

Report abuse or concerns to other organisations

If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical attention contact the emergency services on 999. If the situation you are reporting is not an emergency, please dial 101 which is the non-emergency police number.  Reports of children, young people or adults at risk of abuse and neglect should be made to your local authoriy’s children or adult social care team.. You can find contact details for these below. If your local authority isn’t listed, you will be able to find the contact details for them by searching on the government’s website
