Honorary Assistant Bishops-old

There are three retired bishops licensed to work as Assistant Bishops in the diocese.  The retired bishops, in the main, help out by leading parish services and taking confirmations.

The Rt Revd Ed Condry

Bishop Ed was licensed in the Diocese of Peterborough by Bishop Donald on 20 September 2018.  Before his retirement he was Area Bishop of Ramsbury in the Diocese of Salisbury.

The Rt Revd Andrew Proud

Bishop Andrew was licensed in the Diocese of Peterborough by Bishop Donald on 14 November 2019.  Before his retirement he was Area Bishop of Reading in the Diocese of Oxford, and prior to this he was Bishop of Ethiopia.

The Rt Revd Jonathan Meryick

Bishop Jonathan was licensed in the Diocese of Peterborough by Bishop Donald on 11 November 2021.  Before his retirement he was Suffragan Bishop of Lynn in the Diocese of Norwich.
