Peter Cantley, Director of Education, provides the strategic leadership overseeing the diocesan church schools team who provide ongoing support to all of our schools. They help to ensure that the Christian vision and values of the school are embedded in all aspects of school life. Where a gold standard SLA is in place, a team of diocesan schools consultants work with the church schools team bringing considerable experience of working in education in Church of England schools at headteacher level.

Rachel Beeson MA, Dip Ed, Cert Ed, NPQH
Rachel was head in two church schools before becoming Deputy Director of Education in the Diocese of Ely. She is now an independent consultant, working predominantly with the quality assurance central team for SIAMS. She is trustee of a diocesan multi-academy trust and chair of governors in a community primary school.
Sarah has spent 29 years in education, 21 of which has been in senior leadership. She has had four headships in Primary schools, Chief Operations Officer of a large diocesan Multi Academy Trust in Ely, Deputy Director of Education for Ely Diocese and is now the Chair of Members for a trust in Suffolk and a Trustee for a new diocesan MAT near Ely.
Alistair is Headteacher of St Bede’s Inter-Church School - outstanding for Ofsted & SIAMS. He served as Chair of the Cambridgeshire Secondary Heads’ Association and has supported the leadership teams of secondary schools in challenging circumstances.
Claire is head of All Saints Primary School in Northampton, judged outstanding in SIAMS and good by Ofsted. Claire has many years of headship experience and is currently training as a SIAMS Inspector.
Pete has been Headteacher of Peakirk cum Glinton CE Primary School, Beanfields Junior and Higham Ferrers Junior. He was Chair of Governors at Finedon Schools for 6 years and is also an independent School Improvement consultant.
Eliza is Executive Head of The Forest CE Federation and an Ofsted Inspector. She is a school improvement partnership headteacher and an Early Years specialist advisor for Northamptonshire County Council.
was Headteacher of All Saints’ Primary in Peterborough, which achieved a recent excellent SIAMS judgement and was judged good with outstanding features for 5 consecutive Ofsted inspections. Rachael also has many years of leadership experience as a LLE.
Emma is Headteacher of All Saints CEVA Primary School and Nursery in Wellingborough, judged good by Ofsted and outstanding by SIAMS and, having worked in education for 34 years, has many years of senior leadership experience.
BEd (Hons), NPQH, was head of Great Addington CE Primary for over 17 years and in that time secured two ‘outstanding’ and one ‘excellent’ SIAMS judgements, and four ‘good’ Ofsted inspections. Richard has also worked as a mentor and coach to newly appointed headteachers within PDET.
Emma is Headteacher of Clipston Endowed VC Primary, near Market Harborough - judged Good by Ofsted and Good by SIAMS. Having previously been an Executive Head and a representative on Schools’ Forum, Emma has many years of senior leadership experience.
Jill is the recently retired Headteacher of Weston Favell CE Primary School having served there for 20 years. The school was judged Outstanding by Ofsted and gained an Excellent SIAMS in Nov 2021. Jill is working as an Associate Head for Northampton Primary Academy Trust.
Neil is the Headteacher of Brixworth CEVC Primary School and has many years working as a Head within Northamptonshire church schools, both with the Local Authority and MATs.
Diane is Headteacher of St Mary’s CE Primary School in Kettering, judged outstanding in SIAMS and good by Ofsted, and has many years of senior leadership experience.
