The 2022 Ministers' Conference will take place 7-10 November at Yarnfield Park Training Centre in Staffordshire.
The theme of the Conference is Rejoice in Hope, reflecting the recent announcement of Bishop Donald's retirement and the vacancy in the diocese that will follow.
Introducing the theme of the conference Bishop Donald said "In one sense, the bishop and diocese are there to serve and support the parishes, chaplaincies, and other ministries of the area. But there is also a more hidden role of servant leadership: discerning, authorising and validating ministry; giving confidence in the gospel and the task; acting as a real focus for unity and common purpose. I have tried to do that during my twelve years here, and I am determined that my final conference with clergy and lay ministers will not look back, but point forward to continuing ministry here that is both confident and united. Hence the great biblical theme of Hope."
There will be a variety of voices giving talks and addresses at the Conference, including one guest speaker. Bishop Donald will be giving four addresses: a sermon-length one introducing the conference, then three longer Bible studies.
There will also be four sessions where we will be offering space for people to choose what to do – be it a workshop, sport, a leisure activity, a walk, reading, sleep or simply to relax. If you are interested in leading or organising a workshop or activity in one or more of these slots please be in touch with the Bishop's Project Manager, Alex Tolley before the end of July.
Alongside the sessions and addresses the conference will host a market place exhibition with suppliers who may be of interest to attendees. If you are a company interested in attending as part of the market place please contact alex.tolley@peterborough-diocese.org.uk
Invitations to book onto the conference will be sent mid August.
