Bishop Debbie was warmly welcomed by the children, staff and governors of Pytchley CE Primary School when she visited in May to bless their new garden and library.
The new facilties had been kindly funded by the William Aylworth School Trust, which alongside this grant, offers funds and bursaries to children within the commmunity.
The Spiritual Garden includes plants that the children themselves donated and link with their school values which are clearly seen on signs throughout the area. These values of responsibilty, truth, resilience, respect, friendship and hope underpin the work of the the whole school and give the children every opportunity to achieve their potential and feel proud of themselves in a caring Christian environment. This was reflected in the school's recent SIAMS inspection report which was received the same week that the spritual garden opened.

This green space gives children a special place for quiet reflection and prayer whilst also helping them to appreciate and understand the wonders of God's creation.
Alongside the garden, Bishop Debbie also opened the new school library and joined the whole school for collective worship. The weather may been inclement, but it didn't dampen the spirits of all involved!
