The Knightley Benefice - Badby w Newnham and Charwelton w Fawsley and Preston Capes
This is an exciting time to be joining Peterborough Diocese and the Knightley Benefice. Under the leadership of Bishop Debbie Sellin, the diocese is praying, dreaming, consulting and planning about the way ahead for our mission and ministry. There are plenty of challenges but also many wonderful blessings and opportunities. God is good and we are confident that our future is in his hands.
We all look forward to welcoming our new Priest in Charge to join us in our parishes.
We seek a full-time Priest who will lead us in his or her way to develop what has been achieved so far and to take further steps to broaden our worship and increase our growth. We have a Lay Ministry Team who are keen to help in this.
We are proud of our five villages, their sense of community and their willingness to work together.
We have a very willing, hard-working team of people who make our Churches beautiful and welcoming and who want to make Church-going and worship equally welcoming.
We seek a Priest in Charge who will:
-
Guide and lead us in our worship
-
Delegate some services to the ministry team.
-
Provide pastoral care in the five villages
-
Encourage Church growth, especially among children and young people
-
Be aware of the traditions of life in the countryside
-
Be a visible presence in the community, including building a Christian ethos in the schools
Are you someone who:
-
will embrace a challenge
-
is keen to tackle the above
-
has experience of parish life
-
is IT-literate
-
is willing to show flexibility
-
has tact
-
is able to delegate and is willing to work with the team
We look forward to hearing from you.
