We are delighted to welcome Kieran Gleave as a Church Buildings Caseworker, where he’ll be assisting the DAC to take care of church buildings and churchyards across the Diocese.
Kieran is currently in the final year of his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he is exploring the relationship between the surviving ‘everyday legacies’ of the industrial past and community identities in Manchester and Cambridge.
He has a background in development-led archaeology and has experience in excavating and recording remains from prehistoric times to the nineteenth century. He also has museum experience, where he recently served as a Trustee at the Cambridge Museum of Technology and helps to maintain and operate the museum’s steam engines and boiler.
Kieran is looking forward to amalgamating his experience with archaeology and his community-focused approach to heritage in his new role. He is looking forward to meeting and supporting people from across the Diocese and, of course, looking around and working with our beautiful church buildings!
Kieran can be contacted at kieran.gleave@peterborough-diocese.org.uk or via telephone 01733887026.
