Alice Cooper has been elected as Chair of the Peterborough Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) Trustees, following the close of the nomination process.
As well as being a member of The Uplands Group of Churches in the Diocese, Alice brings a wealth of experience from her senior leadership work within the NHS and Financial Services, where she has made a substantial contribution to governance, organisational leadership, strategic planning and the delivery of services across complex organisations. Her experience of leading through change, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and maintaining a clear focus on mission and outcomes will be a tremendous asset to the DBF as we continue to pursue our vision and priorities across the Diocese.
Alice’s appointment comes at an exciting time as we seek to strengthen our churches, support clergy and lay leaders, invest in mission and ministry, and build a sustainable future for the Diocese. Her leadership, insight and commitment will be a great blessing to the Board and the wider Diocese.
The appointment of Alice follows wise, faithful and dedicated leadership from Paul Buckingham during his service as Chair of the DBF Trustees through a period of significant challenge and opportunity. His commitment to the Diocese, his stewardship of the Board, and his willingness to generously give his time, expertise and encouragement have been deeply valued.
