After not being used since the 1970s, the bells at St Mary’s Church, Ashwell have been restored thanks to funding from the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers’ Bell Fund.
On a beautifully sunny, but slightly blustery, Wednesday, Bishop Debbie and Peter Cantley, Director of Education, along with the Revd Dawn Stokes from Holy Cross Church in Daventry, were special guests at the Easter Service led by children from Monksmoor Park CE Primary School.
